• People in rich countries like GCC countries produce a lot of waste. It is reported that each person in GCC countries produce about 2kg of waste a day. That is a total of 730 kg a year. Multiply this # by the population of each of GCC countries and you will get a huge quantity of waste.
• There is no waste recycling system in effect in GCC countries. We think it is time to build recycling plants in GCC countries. Currently all the waste is dumped and buried in the ground. This require a large land and there are dangers of contamination of underground water that many of GCC countries use.
• It has been reported and seen that the population of GCC are not aware of health hazard for waste. Proper recycling procedure and policies are required at this time. Most Health & environmental organizations in GCC just ignore the waste management issue.
