We have received this invitation for a peace conference  about Palestine.

International conference: Lausanne Initiative

Dear Friends,

We are glad to inform you that our international conference will take place
in Lausanne from 23 to 25 June 2004. Languages of the conference: French
and English (with simultaneous translation). Registered persons will receive
later information about the programme and the precise place of the conference.

The conference is organized by the "Collective for peace in Palestine/Israel", which

gathers associations promoting reconciliation and peace in Palestine/Israel on the

basis of the one democratic state solution with equal rights for all the inhabitants,

whatever is their religion or gender, and the right of the Palestinian refugees to

return. Any Association sharing this ideal can join the Collective. Our purpose is

not to be polemic, but constructive. During the conference, we will launch the

" Lausanne initiative".

The places are limited to 200 persons. The deadline for registration by email
is 15 April 2004. If the number of registered persons exceeds the number
of the available places, we will make a selection according to the regions
and the activities. You will receive a confirmation for your registration
by the end of April. No person can attend the conference unless registered
and confirmed by the organizers.

There are no fees for registration. But because of our limited financial
means, we will be able to cover the costs of only 40 invited Jewish/Israeli
and Palestinian persons who accept to present a paper and participate actively
in the conference. As we would like to give the good example in these difficult
times, the hotels will be simple but clean.

During the day, there is the possibility to have breakfast, lunch and dinner
for moderate costs near the conference room. If you are combining the conference
