Shopping in Dubai Dubai holds annually the Dubai Shopping Festival, which is usually held in January each year. Each year a new theme is selected and many prices are offered . Many new Malls and shopping centers are coming up , including the Emirates mall and Dubai Mall. They are considered to be the biggest in the region.
Shopping Centers: City Center: It is the major shopping destination in Dubai. It is very crowded in weekends, we advise you not to go in Thursday & Friday nights, as you will not enjoy shopping. A nice cinema with latest films is available in the top floor. AL Ghurair Center: The oldest and most prestigious shopping center. Located in the old Deira. The center is under renovation for the time being. You will find many brand names and expensive shops. This shopping center still attract the crowd. AL Wafi Center: A very interesting shopping center with the shape of a pyramid. There many high quality clothing shops in this place. Burjuman Center: The 2nd largest shopping center , it is worth visiting. The center has a grocery store too. AL Bustan Shopping Center:
Mazaya Shopping Center: Located at Shaikh Zayed Road , it is the newest shopping center in Dubai and very nicely decorated. Many shops still did not open yet, however it is worth visiting.
Shopping Areas Maktoom Street: This street is fast becoming a grand & classical shopping street where you will find many high class and branded names of clothing , perfume , watches. Also in this street there are some airline offices AL Reqqa Street: It is considered the classical shopping street , however lately it changed to a street where you can eat , or so called Restaurants Street. There are many Fast Food & Lebanese Restaurants ( nothing fancy). At the end of the street is Ghurair Center ( oldest & 1st Shopping center in Dubai)
Shaikh Zayed Road: This is a European area. This street is lined up with high rise building of up to 50 floors. Many of the buildings here are high class apartments . Some office buildings and a few hotels ( Holiday Inn Crown Plaza , Emirate Tower Hotel , and Sheraton). This road which lead to Jabel Ali & Abu Dhabi have many shops , restaurants , grocery stores ( Spinney & Safestway) Jumeirah Road: There is a small shopping centers scattered in this road. It is a nice area to pass by. There are many Restaurants , Groceries & shops along this road.

find good jewelry at a very attractive price compared to Europe. |
